Quality through accreditation

Career-readiness is common vernacular in education today. And it’s a term we take very seriously at the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).

Since 1983, NATEF has accredited qualified automotive service programs in schools across the country. As a mission-driven non-profit, we work with secondary and post-secondary schools, both public and proprietary, to ensure their automotive service training programs are truly aligned to meet today’s “real world” needs.

We evaluate each program’s structure, resources and quality of automotive service training. We review this against standards established by industry experts and offer NATEF accreditation to programs that meet these high quality requirements.

The results? Schools gain credibility for robust, quality, career-focused programs. Employers can grow a team of highly skilled, entry level technicians. The automotive service industry secures its position as trusted professionals that consumers can count on.

See how it works.
